About Lunixar RMM
What is Lunixar RMM?
Lunixar RMM is a Remote Monitoring and Management software designed for MSPs and IT teams that manage Windows and Linux devices. From a centralized web console you can monitor endpoints, automate tasks, access devices remotely, run scripts, and manage patches.
Who is Lunixar designed for?
Lunixar targets two main profiles: managed service providers (MSPs) managing multiple clients, and internal IT teams managing the Windows infrastructure of a single organization.
Does Lunixar work from the browser?
Yes. The Lunixar admin panel is a web application you access from any modern browser — no software installation required on your work computer.
Where is Lunixar based?
Lunixar was founded in Mexico and is designed with particular attention to the Latin American market, though it operates and serves clients worldwide.

How long does the free trial last?
The trial lasts 3 weeks (21 days) from the moment you create your account.
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. You only need to sign up with your email address. No payment details are required during the free trial.
How many devices can I add during the trial?
You can add up to 5 devices during the trial period — enough to validate a complete workflow.
Do I have access to all features during the trial?
Yes. The trial includes full access to monitoring, automation, remote support, patch management, and inventory. No features are locked or require additional payment.
What happens when the trial ends?
At the end of the 3 weeks you can subscribe to a paid plan to continue. If you choose not to, your account becomes inactive with no automatic charge.
Pricing and billing
How does the pricing model work?
Lunixar offers two pricing models: per managed device (you pay based on connected endpoints) and per technician (fixed-capacity packages for support teams). The per-device model is the most common for MSPs.
Are there monthly and annual plans?
Yes. We offer monthly and annual billing. The annual plan includes a significant discount compared to month-to-month payment.
Can I add or remove devices at any time?
Yes. You can register new devices at any time and the cost adjusts based on the active devices in your account.
Where can I see detailed plans and pricing?
Visit the Lunixar pricing page for a full breakdown of each plan, including the per-device price and annual plan terms.
How are payments processed?
Payments are processed through Stripe, one of the most secure and trusted payment platforms in the world. Your billing details never pass through Lunixar servers.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard — no calls, no forms, no penalties. Unlike many providers, we do not lock you in.
Compatibility and requirements
Which Windows versions does the agent support?
The Lunixar agent is compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11, both Home and Pro editions. It is also compatible with Windows Server.
Does the panel work in all browsers?
The Lunixar web panel works in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari in their current versions. We recommend Chrome or Edge for the best experience.
Do I need to open firewall ports for the agent to work?
No. The Lunixar agent establishes outbound connections to our servers, so you do not need to configure inbound firewall rules.
Does Lunixar support macOS or Linux devices?
The Lunixar agent is available for Windows and Linux (supports .deb, .rpm, and .tar.gz packages). macOS does not have an agent at this time.
Agent and installation
How do I install the agent on a device?
On Windows: download the installer (.exe) from your panel and run it. On Linux: use the install.sh bootstrap script, which automatically detects your distribution and package manager. In both cases the device appears in your console within 2 minutes.
Does the agent consume a lot of system resources?
No. The Lunixar agent is designed to have minimal performance impact. It runs in the background using a small fraction of CPU and memory.
Can I uninstall the agent remotely?
Yes. From the Lunixar panel you can remove a device and the agent is automatically uninstalled from the managed endpoint.
Does the agent work behind a proxy?
Yes. The Lunixar agent supports HTTP proxy configurations for corporate environments where outbound traffic goes through a proxy.
Features
What metrics does Lunixar monitor?
Lunixar monitors CPU, RAM, disk (usage and SMART health), services, firewall, antivirus, uptime, and recent activity. It also generates security alerts for events such as malware detected, account lockouts, failed login bursts, audit policy changes, and Defender exclusion additions. Threshold alerts are configurable for performance metrics.
Can I run scripts on devices remotely?
Yes. On Windows devices you can run PowerShell or CMD scripts, and on Linux you can run Bash directly from the panel. Execution can target one or multiple endpoints simultaneously.
What is patch management in Lunixar?
Patch management gives you visibility into pending updates on each device — Windows Update and third-party apps via WinGet on Windows, and system packages on Linux (apt, dnf, yum, pacman) — and lets you apply them selectively or in bulk without user intervention.
How does remote support work?
Lunixar includes built-in remote access that lets you connect to any managed device from the browser or the Windows desktop app — no external tools required.
Can I receive email alerts or notifications?
Yes. Lunixar sends email alerts when a device goes offline, exceeds a resource threshold, or detects a critical security event such as a disabled firewall or antivirus issue.
